Newsflash is a GNOME feed reader for following blogs and news sites. It supports local RSS subscriptions and integration with online feed-reader accounts, with search, filtering, tags, desktop notifications, and keyboard shortcuts. Its article grabber can extract full articles where supported, but does not bypass paywalls.
The desktop application is implemented in Rust with GTK4 and libadwaita, using the news-flash library for feed-service integration. The project recommends its official Flatpak for installation.
