Sonic

Add typo-tolerant text search and autocomplete with an identifier index.

Sonic is a self-hosted search backend that ingests text associated with object identifiers. It supports typo correction and autocomplete, returning matching IDs that an application resolves against its own database rather than storing complete documents. Collections and buckets organize separate search indexes.

Its server and indexing core are implemented in Rust. Search and ingestion use the Sonic Channel TCP protocol rather than an HTTP endpoint, with client libraries available for multiple languages.
