Flare is an unofficial Signal messaging application for Linux with an adaptive GTK interface. It is written in Rust using GTK 4, libadwaita, Tokio, and separate Rust backend crates for messaging and storage.
Flare remains in development and does not offer every feature of the official Signal applications. Its maintainers caution that it may provide weaker security than the official clients, so it should not be treated as an equivalent replacement for sensitive use.
